[Supporting Organization Entry丨支持伙伴機構輸入] International Conference on Social Connection for Wellbeing丨「社會連結與幸福感」國際研討會
To celebrate its 125th anniversary, Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong will host the "International Conference on Social Connection for Wellbeing" on 17 December 2026.
Amid growing global attention to the importance of social connection and holistic well-being, the Association has invited distinguished international experts and local policy leaders as guest speakers. These include:
Prof. Julianne Holt-Lunstad, Director and Scientific Lead of the Social Connection in America;
Prof. Lee Kheng Hock, Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Social Prescribing in Singapore;
Dr. the Hon. Lam Ching-choi, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Mental Health, HKSAR; and
Prof. Wong Yeung-shan Samuel, Director of the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, who will moderate the keynote session.
Addressing the issue of loneliness, the conference will bring together scientific insights, policy perspectives, and frontline practice to explore key strategies for enhancing well-being. Event highlights include keynote speeches, practical workshops, and cross-sector roundtable discussions, aiming to bridge the divide between academia and various sectors to build a sustainable ecosystem for community connection.
Let us join hands to advance mental health for the common good and reshape a connected, caring community for the next generation of Hong Kong.
Note 1: Benefits for Supporting Organizations: two complimentary conference passes, a preferential registration fee of $250 per additional participant.
Note 2: A confirmation email will be sent to the participant within three working days upon successful payment. Please present the QR code in the email to our staff upon arrival at the event.
Note 3: Hong Kong Registered Social Workers(RSWs) who participate in this International Conference will be eligible to receive 7 hours of Continuing Professional Development(CPD) credits(pending approval) and a certificate of participation.
